Volunteers

Who Volunteers?

People from all walks of life offer their time and skills as a volunteer. We have had student nurses and social workers volunteering in order to gain a practical insight into health and social care as part of their studies; retired people looking to keep themselves active and wanting to do something meaningful with their spare time provide us with welcome support.

Job seekers who feel they might like to work in this field can gain experience which could help their future employment opportunities.

Whether you can spare a morning, afternoon or a whole day, we would love to hear from you.

We will require two references and possibly a Criminal Records Check to be carried out, at our expense. This is because you will be working alongside vulnerable people.

We are always on the lookout for ways to raise funds for our charity, so if you have any ideas and can spare some time, please call Nick Bennett on  01752 773333.

If you would like to know more about volunteering with us, please contact Derek at reception at Plymouth Highbury Trust on 01752 773333, for an informal chat
